From the above Error message we can see that the amount settled for the invoice is more than the total amount.
We would suggest you to please delete the amount recorded against the invoice and proceed with editing the invoice. After saving the invoice, please record the payment again.
To delete a payment, please follow the below mentioned steps.
Step 1. Go to Sales and select Invoices and click on Payment mode.
Step 2. Click on Delete Option.
Step 3. Click on Confirm to delete the Recorded Payment.
