About Feature Requests

Feature Requests – How to Submit and What to Expect

If there’s a feature you’d like to see in Swipe, we’d love to hear your ideas. This guide explains how to submit a feature request, how requests are evaluated, and what to expect after submission.

How to Submit a Feature Request

Please send your feature request to product@getswipe.in.

To help our product team understand your requirement, include the following details:

  • A clear description of the feature or functionality you need.

  • The business problem or use case it solves.

  • Any relevant context, such as your industry, invoice volume, or workflow.

Providing detailed information helps the team better evaluate your request.

How Feature Requests Are Evaluated

All feature requests are reviewed and prioritised by our Product Team based on the overall product roadmap.

Since we receive a large number of feature requests, not every request can be taken up for development.

Each request is evaluated based on factors such as:

  • Customer Impact – Whether the feature benefits a broad range of Swipe users rather than a single account or niche use case.

  • Development and Maintenance Effort – The technical complexity, ongoing maintenance requirements, and overall value the feature provides.

Please note that submitting a feature request does not guarantee that it will be added to the product.

There is also no fixed timeline for reviewing, approving, or implementing feature requests, as priorities may change based on product strategy and customer needs.

Feature Requests vs. Technical Support

Feature requests and technical support requests are handled through different processes.

Technical support covers issues such as:

  • Bugs or unexpected behaviour

  • Application errors

  • Login or account access issues

  • Configuration or setup assistance

These requests are handled according to our standard support resolution timelines, which typically range from 4 hours to 7 days, depending on the severity of the issue.

Feature requests, on the other hand, are considered product enhancements and are evaluated as part of our product planning process. They are not covered under support SLAs and do not have committed resolution or implementation timelines.

Why the Support Team Cannot Approve Feature Requests

Our Support Team is dedicated to resolving technical issues and helping customers use existing Swipe features effectively.

Requests for new functionality require review by the Product and Engineering teams, who evaluate:

  • Customer demand

  • Technical feasibility

  • Long-term maintenance requirements

  • Product roadmap priorities

Because of this, submitting a feature request through Support will not speed up the evaluation process. Sending your request directly to product@getswipe.in ensures it reaches the team responsible for reviewing and prioritising product enhancements.

If Your Request Isn’t Added to the Core Product

In some cases, a requested feature may be too specific to a particular business workflow and may not be suitable for inclusion in the core Swipe product.

Where technically feasible, such requests may be considered as a paid customisation.

If approved:

  • Our Technical Team will assess the scope of work.

  • A separate quotation will be shared for the customisation.

  • The custom feature will be billed on a recurring monthly basis for as long as it remains active.

  • Pricing reflects the development and ongoing maintenance of functionality built specifically for your account.

If you’d like to explore this option, please email product@getswipe.in with your feature request and include any existing feature request ticket number, if available.
