Step 1: Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi or Ethernet (depending on your connection) > DNS settings.
Step 2: Select DNS Server assignment > Manual
Step 3: Choose IPv4 and Enter the following:
- Preferred DNS: 8.8.8.8 (Google)
- Alternate DNS: 8.8.4.4
Note: The exact path may vary depending on your device model. If you don’t find the DNS option there, try the following steps:
Alternate Method: Change Adapter Settings
- Scroll down and click Advanced network settings (on Windows 11), then select More network adapter options
- Right-click your active network (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) and choose Properties
- Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties
- Choose Use the following DNS server addresses
- Enter the following:
- Preferred DNS: 8.8.8.8 (Google)
- Alternate DNS: 8.8.4.4
