Why is the opening quantity not showing while editing the item details?

Regarding the opening quantity not being visible while editing the item, there are two possible scenarios:

  1. Batching/Variants Enabled:

If batching or product variant is enabled and you’re trying to edit the main product, the opening quantity field will not be visible.

We suggest you please check and edit the batch/variant-level product instead of the main product to update the opening quantity.

  1. Warehouse Enabled:

If you have the warehouse feature enabled and warehouses are added, then the option will not be visible for adding opening quantity during item editing.

We suggest you to do manual entry of the opening quantity in stock in of the products from the Inventory section.
