# If I change primary unit of my products, will it get reflected in the previous invoices?

**No, If you change primary unit of your products, it won’t get reflected in the previous invoices.**

In case if you just want to add alternative unit for the particular invoice there are 2 ways to this:

1. Delete and re-add the similar product after making changes in the product.
2. Make Changes in the product which is already added up in the invoice.

For 2nd solution follow these steps mentioned below :

Step 1: Click on the added **product** in your invoice.

Step 2: Click on **Edit**.

Step 3: Click on **Primary Units** , **select** primary unit and click on **Update Item**.
