# How to settle purchase invoice with purchase return/debit note on web?

Once the purchase return is created for a purchase document

Step 1: Please go to purchases and record the payment for the purchase document by clicking on record payment option.

Step 2: Select settle from advance payment option \>\> Select the purchase return / debit note which you want to settle \>\> Click on update payment option.
