# How to set a default discount type for the invoice in web?

**To set a default discount type for the invoice in web, please follow below mentioned steps:**

**Step 1: Go to “Settings”.**

**Step 2: In General Settings, click on “Preferences” \>\> In document, Select the “Discount Type” \>\> “Save Changes”.**
