# How to restrict/allow users from creating invoices for back dates?

To restrict/allow users from creating invoices for back dates, please follow the steps mentioned below:

**Step 1:** Click on **Invite Users.**

**Step 2:** Click on **all users and roles** \>\> Click on **roles and permissions** \>\> Click on **edit.**

**Step 3:** Click on **Documents** \>\> Disable/Enable **Past-Dated Invoices** \>\> Click on **Update role.**
