# How to rename the serial number column showing on the invoice on Web?

**To rename the serial number column on the invoice, please follow the steps mentioned below:**

**Step 1: Go to “Document Settings.”**

**Step 2: Click on Add “Custom Fields.”**

**Step 3. Navigate to “Items” and click on “Edit.”**

**Step 4: “Change the name of the field.”**

**Step 5: Click “Save” and click on “Close.”  
Next, click on “Update Settings.”**
