# How to record TDS for items?

As per GST compliance, GST can be applied on an item-wise basis, whereas TDS cannot be applied at the item level.

We suggest you create separate invoices for each item and then apply TDS while recording the payment for those invoices as TDS can’t be applied separately for each item on the invoice.
