# How to record received advance amount while creating an invoice and show amount payable in the invoice PDF?

Step 1: To record the advance payment, please enter the advance payment under **“Add Payment”** option while creating the invoice and click on **save**.

Step 2: After saving please click on **view** the invoice PDF. It will show the advance paid and the amount payable in the invoice PDF.
