# How to record Advance payments on Pro Forma invoice on web

In order to create advance payments on quotations on web,

Step 1: Click **Pro forma invoices** and select **Create Pro forma invoice**.

Step 2: Fill in the **Advance amount** details and click **Save**.

Step 3: You can check the advance amount added against that invoice.

Step 4: Click the three dots next to the pro forma invoice, select **Convert** , and choose **Convert to Sales**.

Step 5: Go to **Sales** , click the **₹ (Record Payment)** icon on the invoice, check **Settle From Advance Payments** , and click **Update Payment**.

Step 6: Check the Pro forma invoice list to confirm the status is now **Closed**.
