# How to make a Journal entry on Web?

To create a Journal entry, please follow the below mentioned steps

**Step 1** : Go to **Payments** \>\> **Journal** \>\> Click on **New Journal**.

**Step 2** : Enter the **Journal Name** \>\> **Select Date** \>\> Enter the notes if required \>\> Click on **Save & Close**.

**Step 3** : To **record the payment in, payment out and to view the ledger, click on the three dots** to record the payment and view the Journal ledger.
