# How to customize tax for your products in Shopify?

To customize tax for your products in Shopify, please follow below mention steps:

Setp 1: Click on **Setting in your Shopify store.**

Step 2: Click on **Taxes and Duties** and click on **India.**

Step 3: Scroll down, and click on **+Add override** under **Tax rates and exemptions.**

Step 4: A new window will appear where you can select **‘Create a new collection.’**

Step 5: Enter the name of tax percentage you want to add in the **Title section and click on Save.**

For e.g i have selected **Tax Collection 5%.**

Step 6: Go to **Taxes and Duties under Settings** and scroll a bit and click on **Product override.**

Step 7: Click on **Remove override.**

Step 8: Click on **+Add override again to add with customize percentage.**

Step 9: Now, go to **Collections under Products** and click on created **Tax Collection.**

Step 10: Scroll down a bit and **Browse the product** which you want to add in the **created Tax Collection.**

And click on **Done.**

Step 11: Click on **Manage in the Publishing sections.**

Step 12: Disable both the setting and click on **Done.**

Step 13: Click on **Save.**
