# How to add serial numbers/IMEI for products with variants?

**To add serial numbers/IMEI for products with variants please follow the below steps:**

**Step 1:** Go to the **Product and Services** section and here click on **+New product.**

**Step 2:** Fill in the required details for the product and click on **Add item**.

For example, here we are creating **Samsung Phone** as a product.

**Step 3:** After creating product click on **Add Variant** to create a new variant for the product.

**Step 4:** Create new variant and **enable** the Serial number/IMEI toggle button to create variant with serial number/IMEI.

After that, click on **Add variant** to add your variant with serial number/IMEI successfully.

For example, here we are creating **Samsung 128 GB** as variant of Samsung Phone.

**Step 4:** Go to Inventory and click on **Stock in** , to stock in the desired variant of product.

**Step 5:** Click on **Add new** to add the new Serial number/IMEI for the product variant.

Step 6: Type the desired Serial number/IMEI and click on **save**.

**Step 7:** While creating sales invoice, when you add the product variant, a message box will pop up where you will be selecting the Serial number/IMIE of the variant, after selecting click on **Done** and the variant with desired serial number/IMIE will be added.

Ex. Here we have selected 9921000227 as serial number for the variant Samsung 128 GB.

Note: Once a product variant is created under serial number/IMEI it can’t be **disabled**.
