# How to add item custom fields only for specific documents on mobile?

To add fields for specific documents please follow the below steps.

**Step 1:** Go to **more** and scroll down and select **custom columns**

**Step 2:** Click on the **add new column** from the bottom

**Step 3:** Select the document types where you want to show the field and click on **save**
