# How to activate the custom field on the web?

**Please follow the steps mentioned below to activate the custom field:**

**Step 1:** Kindly go to **Document Settings**

**Step 2:** Click on **Add custom field**

**Step 3:**  **Enable the active column** \>\> Click on **close** \>\> Click on **Update Setting.**
