# Encountering Error Message : Amount Settled for this invoice is more than the total amount. Please delete Payments and try again. - /v2/doc/edit

We would suggest you to please delete the amount recorded against the invoice and proceed with editing the invoice. After saving the invoice, please record the payment again.

To delete a payment, please go to Invoices \>\> Click on Payment Mode \>\> Delete Payment.
